Last night the half marathon folks kept sending e-mails: “Race at your own risk! The trail will be covered in snow and ice! Wednesday:
get out of work early but decide to run errands and pick up rather than drive to matt’s
leave at 5. drive two miles in an hour. bus blocking wisconsin at tenleytown. two freak out calls to matt.

Tumblr over the last couple days has convinced me to see Country Strong. Good thing I’ve got a government holiday on the near horizon and don’t mind going to the movies by myself.

am i the only one who doesn't hate the treadmill?
double digits pre-breakfast this morning on the hamster wheel. i was warm and safe, didn’t have to carry my water, and watched throwback videos (Ciara: “1,2 Step” anyone?). when i’ve got the time to hit the trail during daylight, i’ll choose outside. but at 5:30 am on a january work day? it’s not a bad alternative.
